OBJECTIVES OF SETSHABELO

Our Vision

  • Each child orphaned by Aids living in loving and supportive functional family unit.
  • Every community caring for its orphans.
  • The wider interfaith community an integral part in resolving the AIDS orphan crisis in our country

Principal Goal: Intervention program specifically to address the disadvantages of children orphan by AIDS experience

Setshabelo’s principle goal is to improve the living condition of the children orphaned or vulnerable by Aids. This would be in a holistic manner and would be include educational, social, emotional, spiritual, physical and nutritional support where appropriate and possible. A key principal is to enable them to continue living in their current household structure by giving support through an after school canter that they attend in the afternoon and a home visitation program to ensure an on- going support within the household environment. The age group ranges from 6 years to school leaving up to maximum of 19 years and older.

Through active engagement, we strive to give these children the capacity to aspire to achieve their full potential.
